Instead of including content, with IFC4 a new way was created to embed the content in the structure. This embedding of the content allows complex information to be included without being carried in a separate file or link document. The content itself is not removed from the Revit model or any other data. It simply is defined with a specific tag, and cannot be changed from outside the system. While other CAD systems can change the content and data, Revit is able to make the same changes and link them back into the model. The legacy system was stuck on a file-centric approach, with only the creators and maintainers being able to change the data (either by creating a link document or opening the model). So with IFC4 and some of the specifications, you cant create a new set of data, you only create a new way to hold that data.

had a Lumion LiveSync plug-in for Revit v20 issue for a customer. They had issues with the plugin crashing when building projects. I used a self-named unlisted Autodesk Revit Plugin (somehting like that) to sync the changes in the Revit Projects back into Lumion.
